École supérieure d'électricité, commonly known as Supélec, is one of the most prestigious and selective grandes écoles in France, and one of the finest institutions in the field of electric energy and information sciences.

It is a member of Top Industrial Managers for Europe (TIME) network.

History

Supelec was founded in 1894 and the 100th promotion of engineers graduated in 1995.

Organization

Supelec campus was originally based in Malakoff, France. It was relocated in Gif-sur-Yvette in 1975. A second campus was opened in Rennes in 1972. A third campus was opened in Metz in 1985.

Alumni

Supelec Alumni include: Jean-Luc Lagardère, Thierry Breton, Philippe Morillon.
