Adam Ingram (b. 1 May 1951, Kilmarnock) is a Scottish National Party (SNP) politician and Member of the Scottish Parliament for South of Scotland region since 1999. Ingram was re-elected in 2003 and 2007.
An economist before becoming a parliamentarian, he previously was the SNP's national organiser. He has fought the Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley constituency at the last 3 Scottish Parliament elections. He was a shadow deputy minister from 2000 onwards, with responsibility for Children and Early Education from 2004.
After the SNP formed a minority government in 2007, Ingram was appointed to the Scottish Government as the Minister for Children and Early Years.
