Ananas bracteatus (common name, Red Pineapple) is a species of plant related to the pineapple. They are grown as ornamental plants for its decorative red fruit. They can be use as hedges for home security. In colder places they can be grown indoors as a houseplant. The leaves are long with sharp spine. It originated from Brazil.
