Engel is an industrial metal / melodic death metal band with alternative influences from Gothenburg, Sweden. They are currently signed to SPV/Steamhammer Records and have released their debut album Absolute Design via the label on October 31st, 2007. The album will see a North American release on May 20th, 20081. The band have shared the stage with such acts as Still Remains2 and toured Europe with Amon Amarth and Dimmu Borgir3. The band is most notable for having several members from other successful Swedish acts, such as In Flames, The Crown, Evergrey, Lord Belial and Gardenian. They are currently in the process of recording their second album.
