The Eupulmonata are a taxonomic group of air-breathing snails. Some are marine and some are saltmarsh snails that can tolerate salty conditions, but the great majority of this group are land snails and slugs.
Note: Gastropod taxonomy has been in flux for many years. This is especially true currently because of new research in molecular phylogeny. Therefore different reliable sources can yield very different classifications, especially in certain poorly understood groups.
Some malacologists consider Eupulmonata to be a suborder of the order Pulmonata within the Subclass Orthogastropoda.
