The European College of Parma Foundation (Italian: Fondazione Collegio Europeo di Parma, French: La Fondation Collège Européen de Parme): is a higher education institution which provides academic training for young European graduates in the field of European Union law, economics and politics.
The educational programme offered by the European College of Parma is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary academic curriculum covering the whole process of European integration.
The educational programme provided by the European College is geared to preparing students for careers in EU, national and local institutions, professional associations, the corporate world and private practice.
One of the College’s objectives is to develop professional skills in the management of EU policies devolved to regional and local Governments.
The Advanced Diploma in European Studies (ADES) has been welcomed by EU institutions, which endorse its aim of promoting greater understanding of the European Union among young people. To that end, our academic staff include senior EU officials, university professors and experts in EU issues,this degree is equivalent to a master degree in law,economic and politics of EU.
The first Advanced Diploma in European Studies (ADES) course was officially inaugurated by Professor Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, on 27 September 2003.
Promotions
Academic years at the College are known as promotions. Each promotion is named after an outstanding European. Recent promotions were:
- 2003-2004
- 2004-2005 P. H. Spaak
- 2005-2006 Giovanni Paolo II
2006-2007 Konrad Adenauer.
2007-2008 Robert Schuman Was inaugurated by the president of the European Commission Mr.Jose Manuel Barroso.
