Mei County (Chinese: 梅县 pinyin: Méixiàn) is a county in northeastern Guangdong province, the People's Republic of China.
Geography
Mei county completely surrounds the district of Meizhou.
Culture
With a majority Hakka population, Mei county is known as the home of standard Hakka.
