Ruffles is the name of a brand of ruffled (crinkle-cut) potato chips produced by Frito-Lay. Its current official product slogan is "RRRuffles Have Ridges!"

Name is by analogy with the ruffle, a strip of fabric often gathered, creating folds.

Variations

Ruffles are also available in Light, Baked and WOW brand/Olestra versions. Starting in 2008, Frito-Lay is introducing a Ruffles Thick Cut brand of chip.

Ruffles is a brand name of potato chips in Australia purchased by the Smiths organization. The brand is now considered to be a "range" of products from the master company.

The "All-Dressed" flavour of Ruffles is only available in Canada.

In about 1998, Frito-Lay(c) added ridges to the Ruffles chips.
