Sulaiman al-Barouni(Arabicسليمان باشا الباروني) (1872-1940) was ruler (wāli) of Tripolitania and part of the resistance movement against the Italian military occupation of Libya from 1911 to 1916. He was also a good novelist (considered in Libya as classic author) and the editor of an anti-italian berber nationalist newspaper.
