The Supreme Council of Antiquities (commonly abbreviated SCA) is part of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and is responsible for the conservation, protection and regulation of all antiquities and archaeological excavations in Egypt. It is headquartered in the Zamalek neighborhood of Cairo.

The SCA was previously known as the "Egyptian Antiquities Organization" (commonly abbreviated EAO) between 1971 and 1994. Prior to that, it was known as either the "Department of Antiquities" or the "Antiquities Service", dating back to the middle of the 19th century.

The current Secretary General of the Council is Dr. Zahi Hawass (since 2002).
