"The Wig Master" is the 129th episode of the NBC situation comedy Seinfeld. This was the 19th episode for the 7th season. It aired on April 4, 1996.
Plot
Jerry uses Elaine to prove that a sales clerk is wrong not to believe he is truly interested in buying an expensive jacket. Elaine is picked up by the clerk after he leads her on with the promise of a big discount on a Nicole Miller dress in Jerry's presence, much to his dismay. George has an unwanted house guest who is working for a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. George discovers why a parking lot is so cheap when he finds a used condom in his car. Kramer borrows the technicolor dreamcoat from George's guest and wears it around town, innocently combining it with a walking stick, fuzzy hat and pink Cadillac Eldorado and ends up being mistaken for a pimp.
Trivia
| Lists of miscellaneous information should be avoided. Please relocate any relevant information into appropriate sections or articles. (February 2008) |
- Michael McDonald, who had a role as the guy who asks the wig master out, also had a cameo role in the previous season's The Understudy as one of the Rochelle, Rochelle baseball players. McDonald is also known for doing an impression of Michael Richards on MadTV.
- The Jiffy Park Guy would reappear in the next season episode "The Muffin Tops" as the last guy who refuses the muffin stumps from Kramer.
- It is obvious that Jerry received a haircut since his hair is significantly shorter in the episode than it was for most of Season 7.
- Kenny Bania was to appear in this episode, but his scene was cut prior to broadcast. It can be seen on the Season 7 DVD set.
- There is a goof in this episode involving George's car. When it shows the exterior of his car, it is a Mercury Mystique (George's car was also a Mystique in The Caddy) but when it cuts to the interior shots, the interior is that of a Buick Regal.
