Instructions for updating

  1. Determine whether or not a delete consensus has been reached. See: Deletion guidelines for administrators.
  2. Check if the category is empty and the template has been orphaned.
  3. Depending on consensus, either:
    • Delete the template and/or category and their talk pages or
    • Remove {{sfd-t}} from the template and {{sfd-c}} from the category
  4. If the stub type is listed on WP:WSS/ST, remove it from there, too.
    OR if the stub type is a redirect and is listed on the Redirects page, remove it from there.
  5. Sort the archived discussions into the subpage of the month it was nominated in, which should be listed above. If this is the current month and the subpage has not yet been created, you can use the following link to create it and then add it above:

Note that if a decision was to rename a stub category or template prior to August 2006, this would be logged on the "Deletion" page.
